Proper Strokes is an iPhone and iPad app for practicing Chinese handwriting. It's created and maintained by one independent developer.
Using the app
- You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Please don’t reverse engineer or interfere with the app’s operation.
- Use the app in compliance with applicable laws.
In-app purchases (support)
- The app may offer optional one-time “support” purchases (like a tip jar). These do not unlock features.
- Purchases are processed by the App Store and managed via RevenueCat. Refunds are handled by Apple.
- Prices are shown in your local currency.
Privacy
Handwriting practice works offline and does not require an account. Your handwriting and phrase lists stay on your device. We use TelemetryDeck for usage analytics and RevenueCat to manage purchases and view purchase statistics. See the Privacy Policy for details about the data sent to these services and its retention and deletion.
Content and intellectual property
App content and software are protected by applicable laws. Some character references align with public educational standards where relevant.
Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties. We do not promise the app will meet every need or run uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
Changes
We may update the app or these Terms. Continued use means you accept the changes.
